Get Rich Quick?

This is the question people ask me most when I tell them I promote home online businesses on the internet. Is it a get rich quick scheme? Over the past 10 years I have studied hundreds of plans for money making opportunities and have yet to find one that will make you rich quickly. If I had found one I would be promoting it right now. Do not kid yourself, you can become rich but it is a long draw out process. Your best bet is to keep working at your day job, no matter how bad it is till you start to make more form your home based online business than you do from your own job. There is no two ways about it, it is going to cost you money and time. You definitely need a website and you need to advertise. Nevertheless a lot of the advertising can be done for free but it does take some effort surfing Traffic exchanges etc to promote your online business. Having said that it is very satisfying knowing that you are your own boss and the more you put into it the more you will get out of it.

Use old CD's to make money?

Back in the old days when I was doing my research on home based online business opportunities, I stumbled upon a advertising plan. I will not go into this in detail but the idea was to contact local employers and sell them space on a advertisement card shaped like a phone box which would be kept by the home or business owner beside their phone. I thought this would be a good idea and started canvasing. After 2 weeks I had no sign ups and gave it up to try out a new project. But that is not the end of the story. A week later I was in my lawyers office when she went to make a call and pulled out the very same phone box card full of advertisements. Someone had made it work. Lesson learned.
With this in mind I want to tell you about an idea I came across but have never acted on it. This person collects old CD's and fits a Quartz clock mechanism to the back and clock hands to the front.They cost about £1.50 each to make. This takes all of 2 minutes to do. He aims for CD's with song titles that would mirror a special occasion for example: Happy Birthday,The anniversary Song etc. He then sells them for £5. Not a bad wee profit eh? How do you get your website to the top of the search engines? Having your online business website at the top is the best way to get free traffic, but it does take time.In fact there are dozens if not hundreds of books written on this subject. However I will concentrate on the most common way to day.
First you must fill your Blog and website with keywords and keyword phrases. Keywords are the words that people type into their search engines to source information or a product. It is these keywords and phrases which should litter your online business website and blog.
So how do you know what key words are being used? Easy, get your Google search engine up and type in Free Word Tracker. Once you have this up type in a general keyword phrase. For example Home based online business. This will give you a list of all the keywords people are searching for. You should end up with a list like this:

Last Wednesday night, Hampden Park Glasgow hosted the 2007 UEFA cup final between to Spanish teams. I live 5 minutes away from the national stadium and from my vantage point can see supporters traveling from miles away towards the ground. These were very cheap looking kilts and had obviously been sold by an astute business man or women in the centre of the city. If these business people made a modest £1 for each kilt, and I expect they would have made more, they would have earned about £10,000 for a days work. The key to this is that they took action before it was too late. This is what is called seizing the day or Carpe Diem. Many home base online business people are wealthy because of that very strategy. So remember when you are working for yourself on your own online business their will come a time when you have to make a big decision or even several big decisions which could determine whether your online business is a success or failure.

There is one key principle to succeeding in making money online. You must have the right attitude. There are hundreds of Get rich quick sites which are geared to entrap the opportunist who is out to earn a quick buck with little effort. After trying for a few unsuccessful weeks they have not made their fortune and give up.
The only way to get rich online is to grow your business steadily. Learn from your mistakes and adjust accordingly. You will need Time. You will need Money. You will require Patience. Everything I promote in this site is either Free or as cheaply as I could find it. But eventually you will have to put some money into your business. You will at the very least have to put a lot of time into it and you will need a lot of patience to make your business grow steadily. Keep on your job while you are doing this if you have one till you can afford to take up your new business full time. Be persistent, don't give up EVER. Some will cost money but lets concentrate on the Free ones to start with. You can surf the net to find Free advertising sites of which there are many and I will list at the end of this page. Traffic exchanges work on the principle that if you read someone elses advertisement then they will read yours. You can also use Advert Blasters which will send your advert out to millions of email addresses. They are all simple to use, log in and off you go. I will list more next time.
